Tanzania Olympic Committee (TOC) is conducting a 10 days National Technical Course for Coaches/referee in Wrestling Level Two. The course started on 5th June 2024 at the Olympafrica Centre in Mkuza, Kibaha with 22 coaches and will run up to 14th June 2024.
Mr. Vincent AKA, a World Wrestling Expert from the Republic of Côte d’Ivoire, is facilitating the Course.
Speaking during the Opening Ceremony, TOC Secretary General, Filbert Bayi thanked the Tanzania Wrestling Federation for developing the couches. He encouraged participants to shine and make Wrestling a vibrant sport in the Country. He also encouraged the participants to perform to their best after the course.
On his part, Wrestling Expert, Mr. Vicent Aka said he is ready to impart knowledge and wrestling skills to the coaches and help them grow. He also said it would be his pleasure to see Tanzanian Wrestlers participate in International Competitions.
Taking his turn, Mr. Abraham Nkabuka who is Secretary General for Tanzania Wrestling Federation thanked TOC for supporting the development of sports in the country. Nkabuka then encouraged the participants not to take this opportunity for granted but rather utilize the chance to the best for them to become good Coaches.
The course is funded by International Olympic Committee (IOC) through the Olympic Solidarity.
