The mission of the TOC is to develop, promote and protect the Olympic Movement in Tanzania in accordance with the Olympic Charter. In pursuance of this mission, the TOC may cooperate with governmental or non-governmental bodies. It may however not associate itself with any activity, which would be in contradiction with the Olympic Charter

Alphonce Simbu

Simbu won a silver medal in the men’s marathon event.

 

Yusuf Changalawe

Changalawe clinched a bronze medal after he destroyed Arthur Langelies of St Lucia in Light Heavyweight (Over 75-80kg) bout.

Kassim Mbundikwe

Mbundwike clinched a bronze medal after defeating Marion Faustino of Ah Tong by technical knockout in Light Middleweight (Over 67-71kg) bout.

Olympic Solidarity is a division of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) that assists National Olympic Committees for athlete development programmes, in particular those with the greatest need for it.This assistance is achieved through multi-faceted programmes prioritising athlete development but also training of coaches and sports administrators and promoting the Olympic Values.

Anti Doping

The World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) was established in 1999 as an international independent agency composed and funded by the sport movement and governments of the world. Our key activities include scientific research, education, development of anti-doping capacities, and monitoring of the World Anti-Doping Code – the document harmonizing anti-doping policies in all sports and all countries.

The ΙΟΑ, situated next to the archaeological site where the first Olympic Games were born, aims at studying, enriching and promoting Olympism and its values in relevance with current global issues of Olympic interest and in conformity with the principles laid down by the ancient Greeks and the revivers of the contemporary Olympic Movement.
