Tanzanian Olympic Committee on 16th July 2024 addressed the press to inform the public on Team Tanzania that will participate in the upcoming Olympic Games scheduled to take place from 26th  July to 11th August 2024. Team Tanzania will be represented by 7 athletes in three disciplines : Athletics, Judo, and Swimming. 4 Athletics, will participate in long-distance running, 2 males (Alphonce Felix Simbu and Gabriel Geay) and 2 females (Jackline Juma Sakilu and Magdalena Crispin Shauri), 1 male Judoka (Andrew Thomas Mlugu) and 2 Swimmers, (Sophia Anisa Latiff  50m freestyle ) representing female category and (Collins Phillip Saliboko 100m freestyle ) in male category. The team will be accompanied by 3 coaches of the three disciplines, 1 press attache, 1 doctor, 2 officials from TOC, and 1 Chief de mission.
