The Singida Regional Commissioner, Hon. Halima Dendego on 4th April 2024 officially opened the Twende Olympic Festival in Singida at Mwenge Secondary School which is organized by the Tanzania Olympic Committee and sponsored by the French Embassy in Tanzania. The Regional Commissioner complimented the Tanzania Olympic Committee for conducting youth sports competitions and promoting sports development in the country. Tanzania Olympic Committee Vice President Henry Tandau expressed gratitude to the Regional Commissioner Commissioner for opening the Twende Olympic 2024 legacy and extended sincere thanks to the French Embassy for their significant support in making the event possible. Additionally, Tanzania Olympic Committee Secretary General Filbert Bayi congratulated sports officers, coaches, and teachers from Singida and Mbeya for their efforts in preparing students to participate in these competitions.
